OMEGA is not literal generative AI. It is a structured conceptual atlas — a thinking tool. The "self-expanding" property is implemented honestly via interactive elements (universe selector, branching tree, counterfactual generator, depth slider) that genuinely respond to your input. Each layer presents established theory + open questions; speculative claims are clearly marked.

Each rung is what would have to happen for the next to be possible. None of the upward jumps is fully understood. The hard problem of consciousness — why subjective experience exists at all — sits between rungs 5 and 6.

Existing AI benchmarks (MMLU, SWE-bench, GPQA) test what humans already know how to test. OMEGA proposes six axes that test what intelligence could look like — most of which no current system can be evaluated on, because the benchmarks don't exist yet.

OMEGA's eleventh layer is the system that displays the other ten. The interactive elements scattered across this page — universe selector, branching tree, depth slider, knowledge graph, counterfactual generator — are themselves Layer 11 in action. The framework is what it shows.

Implementation is finite even when the concepts are not.
